What we do: ThruIT.com is a portal of information and opinions about a wide range of technologies and information technology. We will post informative and opinionated blogs about this so called “information technology” and “social media” and do so on a semi-regular basis. By semi-regular we mean, if we are tired and cranky from a long day at the office, then no post for you. Too bad.

What you do: Read… yes read. And look at the pretty pictures. Seriously though, read the posts, and tell us what you think. You hate it (too bad)? But tell us anyway. You love it (yay!) let us know. You want more? Of course you do, and we will get you your fix, don’t worry.

Information Technology and Social Media: Bet a lot of you readers have heard these terms by now. I also bet a lot of you think you know what they mean. Well chances are you probably do know what the mean… To yourself. To us these terms may mean something completely unrelated to what originally thought, so here’s some topics we will cover and what they entail. The potential for growth in these areas is most definite. So don’t assume our content is limited to these.

Emerging Technologies: Pretty easy to understand this one as well. Any and all technologies, gadgets, electronics, and even a little science is fair game. ThruIT will be a nerd platform feeding even the geekiest of desires. Lets face it, today the Nerd is the equivalent of yester-years jocky, and this blog will be the sports illustrated of the IT and Social Media world.
Gaming: This one is probably exactly what you thought it was. Video games. ThruIT will try to post as often is possible on new video games, old video games, new technologies in gaming (i.e. consoles and hardware), reviews of games he’s played, and even just his thoughts on upcoming games. He is a bit of a First Person Shooter junky so please feel free to recommend any game you think is being neglected. If Matt isn’t to busy busting caps in Call of Duty Modern Warfare, he might get around to reviewing them.
Note: It is important to understand that at this current stage in the blog much of the information gathered for reviews and opinions will be second hand; things we’ve read or seen. This is due to the fact that we lack the ability to obtain direct knowedge about everthing we love writing about. For those of you saying, “Well thats dumb.” take this into account: Just because you like explosions, doesn’t mean the companies that make C4 and the government are going to let you blow stuff up. Because of this we may miss some facts or events, and would love for you to post updates or information regarding any of our posts that we missed.
