You’ve probably read about it as it’s fairly old news, but for the first time ever I’m experiencing it and I thought I’d share.

I am writing to you from 30,000 feet up in the air on my way home to New York for the holidays. This is possible because Virgin America has equipped their entire fleet with Wifi.

Sick? Of course! It gets better though. Over the holidays (November 20th – January 15th) Google has partnered with Virgin America to offer free – yes no money needed – Wifi in there terminals and their planes.

It’s a step in the right direction for airlines, but it has its limitations. Speed is limited. Streaming a 1 minute YouTube video can takes a few minutes to buffer so don’t plan on watching your favorite shows on Hulu unless you have time to wait for it to load.

But who cares right? It’s free Wifi and I’m 30,000 feet in the air. What I don’t get though is if they can get internet this high up, someone please tell me why they can’t get my router to stop dropping the signal whenever it feels?

The service is pretty cool and its continually being improved upon. Send and receive phone calls, voicemails, and text messages all from your personalized FREE vanity google voice number.
