Okay, so it’s not quite inside information, but this morning when I logged into my computer at work I found out that GE has signed a contract with Santa to provide a new state of the art sleigh. This is sure to impact GE’s stock price, which as of recent has been around the upper $15s.

We all know that traditionally Santa has had a rather old fashioned sleigh pulled by his reindeer, but the reindeer are getting old and so is Santa and so GE has developed mind blowing proprietary technology to solve some traditional problems. Some of the new features include OLED lighting, RFID Asset tracking (for Santa’s many gifts), and much more. Another cool thing is that most of this stuff is in development or has been developed by GE already. Take a look at the below app to learn more.

So lets see: Thanksgiving. Check. Black Friday. Check. Cyber Monday?

I might just be slow, but when did they add another shopping holiday to the list? I guess it wouldn't really be the "Information Age" without its own geeky shopping holiday.

Anyway, today is Cyber Monday. The day when all you lazy shoppers who waited till now to start your shopping, and still refuse to leave your house to do so, will find all those crazy deals on all your favorite shopping websites.

To keep you from going crazy with all the possibilities out on the internet, I will provide you with a small list of sites you might wanna check out for some fancy deals on tons of items.

1. Amazon.com

A “no-brainer” in my book. Once on Amazon, there’s a giant shiny link on the right hand side of the main page for all those Cyber Monday Deals. Check it out. There are deals ranging from camping tents to video games and for pretty decent prices also. I’m sure you can find a pretty sweet price on the Amazon Kindle if you’ve been debating whether to get that over Barnes and Noble’s Nook.

2. Buy.com

Pretty close to Amazon, but still has great deals if you have something against them. Yet again, there is a pretty decent size red ribbon spanning the width of the site for Cyber Monday Deals bragging up to an intense 70% off for select items. So check it out.

3. Newegg.com

For all you technology junkies, this is a great site. It has great prices, amazing customer service, and unbelievable shipping times even when there are no holidays in sight. So I’m sure you can find something nice for the kids. By the way, if you cant find where the Cyber Monday Deals are on this site, you probably shouldn’t be using a computer.

4. J&R.com

With a nice revolving add for Cyber Monday Deals on the main page, J&R is a good alternative to Newegg.com if electronic gifts are the rout your taking this year.

5. B&H Photo

For all you photography gurus, or for those of you who would like to impress one, B&H always has great deals on lenses, digital cameras, equipment, and anything else photography and video related. As an avid intermediate photographer myself, I use B&H quite a lot. With the Cyber Monday deal, I’m sure you’ll find what you need.

There are thousands of shopping websites out on the web today, so knowing the right ones to choose on days like Cyber Monday and Black Friday is always helpful. Don’t ask me why, but I decided to check out a mall in my hometown on Black Friday. Let’s just say, I didn’t buy anything, and I’ll probably never set foot in a retail outlet like that again. Be sure to check out these sites. I’m sure they’ll make finding the right gift at the right price that much easier.

Happy Shopping!
